Protospace is the missing structural domain of actuality.
The central frame for how potential becomes definite appearance without reducing lived experience to a private mental copy or a dead physical aftereffect.
Working definition
The field of admissible actualization.
Protospace names the domain in which constraints, potentials, relations, forms, and appearances become mutually intelligible. It is not a second world behind this one. It is the structural depth of this one.
The claim is not that ordinary scientific explanation should be discarded. The claim is that explanation requires a deeper account of how definite actuality becomes available at all.
Not a hidden realm
Protospace is not a fantasy dimension, spiritual elsewhere, or metaphysical storage closet.
Not mere subjectivity
Experience is not sealed inside the head as a private cartoon. It is boundary actualization: reality arriving locally.
Not anti-science
The project aims to ground further inquiry, not replace discipline with vibes.
Not consolation
The point is not comfort. The point is contact.
“What appears is not the enemy of reality. It is where reality becomes vulnerable enough to be met.”
Orientation
From representation to contact.
The modern reflex says: first there is an external world, then a nervous system, then an internal representation, then a person trying to infer what is real.
Actuality Ontology asks whether that picture already smuggles in the very separation it claims to explain. It begins instead from appearing as the boundary event of actuality.
The formal companion papers develop this through experiential instantiation, perspective as local closure, and coherent closure as the law of appearing actuality.
