About

The work is ordinary contact made exact.

Actuality Ontology is the writing and system-building project of Jeffrey Goodrich.

Jeffrey Goodrich author portrait

Jeffrey Goodrich develops Actuality Ontology: a constraint-closure metaphysics of apparent reality grounded in Protospace. The project refuses the inherited split between a supposedly finished objective world outside and a private subjective experience inside.

The public compression is simple: no elsewhere, this is actual, care for it. The formal architecture is sharper: reality appears; constraint specifies; closure actualizes; experience is one living mode of closure; the subject appears inside the closure; Protospace grounds the whole possibility.

The work moves from ordinary life into formal architecture and back again: the room, the body, the social world, the scientific instrument, the sentence, the act of care.
